
A grand crowd of devotees gathered at the Mansa Devi Temple in Panchkula during Navratri. Everyone is visiting the temple to have darshan (holy view) of the Goddess. So far, over 2.53 lakh devotees have visited the temple in the past seven days. In addition, work is ongoing outside the temple to remove encroachments and enhance the temple premises.
During Sharadiya Navratri, an amazing confluence of devotion and faith was seen at the Shri Mansa Devi Temple. On Saturday, due to the weekend, a huge crowd thronged the temple, and around 42,000 devotees had darshan.
Devotees at the Mansa Devi Temple, Kali Mata Temple in Kalka, and Chandi Mata Temple offered donations totaling ₹28.32 lakh. At Mansa Devi Temple alone, 2.53 lakh devotees had darshan. Satpal Sharma, Deputy Commissioner and Chief Administrator of the Mansa Devi Shrine Board, stated that ₹22,37,447 were donated at Shri Mansa Devi Temple, ₹3,87,299 at Shri Kali Mata Temple in Kalka, and ₹2,07,335 at Chandi Mata Temple. Additionally, 54 gold coins and 243 silver coins were offered at Mansa Devi Temple, and 24 silver coins were donated at Kali Mata Temple in Kalka.
During the holy occasion of Navratri, Hindus celebrate with immense joy. Devotees come from far and wide to have darshan of the Goddess. According to the Shrine Board officials, this year too, the enthusiasm of devotees at the Navratri fair was remarkable. Strict security measures were in place, and special arrangements were made for the convenience of devotees. Devotees offered donations with the hope that their wishes would be fulfilled. The temple management committee stated that the collected offerings will be used for temple maintenance, facility improvements, and public welfare activities.
