"Red Thar Involved in Fatal Hit-and-Run in Chandigarh – Driver on the Run
Chandigarh: The red Thar that mowed down two real sisters in Sector 46 has been recovered by the police. However, the driver remains absconding.
The tragic incident occurred around 3 PM on Wednesday when the Thar hit the sisters standing by the roadside, leaving them seriously injured. The victims were rushed to GMCH Sector-32, where one of them, identified as Sojef from Burail, was declared dead. Her sister Isha continues to battle for life in the hospital.
Police sources confirm that the Thar is registered in Sector 21, but the accused had sold the house and is no longer residing there. Multiple teams are scanning CCTV footage and conducting raids to trace the absconding driver.
