Chandigarh: Suspended DIG H.S. Bhullar’s troubles deepened today as a special CBI court granted the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) five days of remand for further interrogation. The CBI had sought Bhullar’s custody to probe deeper into allegations of corruption and misuse of authority during his tenure.
According to sources, the investigative agency presented fresh evidence before the court, prompting the judge to allow extended custody for detailed questioning. Bhullar was earlier suspended following internal inquiries that pointed to irregularities in official dealings.
The case has sparked significant attention within Punjab’s administrative and law enforcement circles, with many awaiting further revelations as the CBI continues its investigation.
