
"Punjabi Singer Rajvir Jawanda Passes Away After Tragic Road Accident in Himachal Pradesh"
Mohali: Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda passed away on Wednesday (October 8) after battling for life on a ventilator for 11 days, following a major road accident in Himachal Pradesh.
The 33-year-old artist was critically injured on September 27 near Baddi (Solan district) when he reportedly lost control of his motorcycle while en route to Shimla. The crash left him with severe head and spinal injuries. making headlines as the Rajvir Jawanda accident.
He was initially taken to a local hospital in Solan, where he reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest, before being shifted to Fortis Hospital, Mohali. Upon arrival around 1:45 PM, medical and neurosurgery teams began emergency treatment. Despite their efforts, Rajvir remained on life support with minimal brain activity, and his condition continued to deteriorate.
Rajvir Jawanda, who is survived by his wife and two young children, succumbed to his injuries in Mohali, Punjab.
His critical condition had sparked an outpouring of concern across the Punjabi music and film industry. Prominent names such as Diljit Dosanjh, Neeru Bajwa, Ammy Virk, Gippy Grewal, and Kanwar Grewal had shared emotional posts praying for his recovery. During a concert in Hong Kong, Diljit Dosanjh even paused mid-performance to lead the audience in a collective prayer, saying, “Dua mein asar hai.”
Rajvir’s mother had earlier confirmed that several artists and well-wishers came forward to assist with medical expenses and extend emotional support during the difficult period.

He also made his mark in Punjabi cinema, appearing in films like Subedar Joginder Singh (2018), Jind Jaan (2019), and Mindo Taseeldarni (2019).
