Two Members of Ashish Chopra Gang Arrested in Ferozepur with 205g Heroin — Punjab Police AGTF Operation
Chandigarh: In a major breakthrough under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s drive to make Punjab a safe and secure state, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Punjab, in a joint operation with Ferozepur Police, arrested two members of the Ashish Chopra Gang and recovered 205 grams of heroin from their possession.
Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav said the arrested accused have been identified as Rashpal alias Sewak, a resident of village Kunde, and Rajiv alias Jassa, a resident of village Bare Ke, both from Ferozepur district.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the duo was in contact with Yuvi, a shooter of the Ashish Chopra Gang who is wanted in the Ashu Monga murder case that took place in Ferozepur in May 2025, the DGP added.
DGP Yadav said further investigations are underway to trace forward and backward linkages and dismantle the entire network of the gang.
Sharing details of the operation, ADGP AGTF Promod Ban said that acting on reliable intelligence, AGTF teams led by DSP Rajan Parminder, in coordination with Ferozepur Police, nabbed the accused near the Railway Crossing at village Madhre in Ferozepur.
SSP Ferozepur Bhupinder Singh Sidhu stated that accused Rashpal Singh has a criminal history involving multiple cases under the NDPS Act and Arms Act. Further probe into the case is ongoing.
A case has been registered under FIR No. 319 dated 01.11.2025, under Sections 21, 61, and 85 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Sadar Ferozepur.
